Property Management is responsible for the safekeeping of evidence and found property that comes under the control of the Sheriff's Office. The unit also prepares unclaimed items (excluding guns and illegal contraband) for the county auction, which occurs as items become available.
Property Management is located on the lower level of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Headquarters Building, 345 West Second Street. Public parking is not available on the premises. Property may be released only with proper identification and proof of ownership. When picking up property for release and/or a court order release, please contact the office at 937-225-4145 prior to arriving to ensure your items are ready upon your arrival. The Sheriff’s Office Property Room does releases between the hours of 8am and 2pm Monday – Friday.
